Christmaaaas

I made a lot of stuff...but I don't have a camera with me and they are all gifts. What if Aunt Peggy jumps on my blog and sees her Christmas gift???

I have been a sewing MACHINE (punnnn).

corkboard magic!

I got this corkboard from Goodwill and I used spray adhesive to make it stick.

I had this fabric left over from a laptop cover.

I used cardboard from the back of an old drawing book for the back of it.

I had some frame hooks laying around, so I nailed it on.

That's it!

I realize I don't have the finished image, but you can use your imagination, right? I haven't made pins for it, but I'm thinking thumb tacks with felt pears glued on? suggestions?

why should i do the work if someone already did?

HERE is where I got the instructions...deal with it.

I made some boot cut jeans into skinny jeans. And voila! I can wear boots with jeans and I didn't need to buy new pants:) Sometimes when you are a little on the curvy side, it's hard to find jeans that fit everywhere...especially skinny jeans. So...bam. Mission accomplished and it was really easy!

ear-rings

I made one earring (i'll make another, don't worry!). I wanted to share :) I got the idea from this blog.

I plan to use these little paper clips in the future for smaller, more colorful earrings:)

I used embroidery floss and I didn't use glue...I just wrapped and wrapped and wrapped. But it was just a test, so I would follow the instructions on the blog I stole (borrowed) this idea from!

perhaps I should explain...

I started this blog because I like to make things. And by "things" I mean art projects, craft projects, home projects, and whatever else I decide to make. It's also a place where I can put things I wish I could make--but either don't have the time, money, or talent to do it (you may see a lot of that).

I do have a different blog...but it felt a little heavy for happy things like sewing projects and cork boards:)

Feel free to give me ideas...and ways to improve!
